New/Mode uses Stripe Connect to securely process supporter contributions and transfer funds to your organization. Follow these steps to link your account so you can start receiving payouts.
Before you Begin:

You must be an Organization Admin in New/Mode.

You should have your organization’s bank account details ready.

You’ll need to be able to receive email/SMS verification codes for Stripe account setup.
If you have have set up your Stripe account in the wrong currency or country, please reach out to New/Mode Support for help resetting your account without losing any data.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Log in to New/Mode with an account that has admin access in your New/Mode organization.

Click on your profile picture in the top right corner, then select Organization Profile.

Under the Contributions tab click on Set Up With Stripe button. This will take you to the Stripe interface.
- When entering your email address, we recommend using a new Stripe account for New/Mode. If you have an existing Stripe account, you will be asked to verify your account. At this point you can also choose a different email.
- At this stage you will be asked to select your business type. New/Mode recommends selecting "Individual" if you are unsure of your registration type
- When choosing a representative of the company, you can use existing information from Stripe or create a new profile. This is separate from your company profile and can be used across multiple companies.
- When finalizing setup, you will be asked for identifying information including the last 4 digits of your social security number. The last 4 digits of your security number are collected by Stripe for regulatory purposes and will never be exposed to New/Mode.
Registering as a company or non profit will require additional documentation from Stripe, including proof of company registration. This can take 1-3 business days to process. If more information is needed from Stripe, please look for this banner at the top of your page:
