Supporter Submission Limits

Any existing campaigns (those made before July 24th,2025) will only allow 1 submission per person. Campaigns in draft mode will be exempt from submission limits. Members of your New/Mode organization will also be able to submit without limit.

If it aligns with your advocacy strategy, users can now allow supporters to participate more than once in the same campaign, up to a maximum of 10 times.  By default, any campaign released after July 23rd, 2025 will have the following submission limits

Petitions - 1 submission per supporter
Email, LTE - 3 submissions per supporter
Call - 10 submissions per supporter

If you would like to modify these limits in accordance to your advocacy goals, find the instructions below for the type of campaign you are creating. You can manually update any campaign made before this feature was released on July 24th.

Any time a campaign is cloned the submission limit set on the original will also be applied to the new campaign.

Email campaigns

By default, email campaigns allow your supporters to participate up to three times in the same campaign, using the same email address. If they attempt to participate a fourth time or more, they will be met with a "you've already participated in this campaign'' message.

Modifying the amount of times each of your supporters can send an email to your Recipient(s) can be done in the Message settings, on the right hand side of your Campaign Email.

Click on the input field to set limit you would like your supporters to respect. While this can be modified after you campaign has been made live it is important to avoid your recipients perceiving your supporters submissions as spam so less is more here.

Call Campaigns

By default, your supporters can participate in a call campaign up to 10 times with the same phone number and address. This way, if they need to reach decision-makers over consecutive days or the line to your Recipient(s) is busy they can continue to try again!

After you are done editing your talking points and have chosen your introduction settings, you can make changes to your submission limits by selecting a numerical value between 1 and 10. We recommend contacting your supporters making the highest amount of calls to personally thank them for their time and to discuss how their calls went with them. You can find more strategic advice on call campaigns in our blog.

LTE Campaigns

By default, your supporters can take part in an LTE campaign three times. After changing the key points on your writing prompts you can raise or lower the submission limit via the settings menu on the right-hand side.

We recommend leaving auto-approval off for LTE campaigns, so you can review the short-but-personal letters from your supporters before passing them on to various editors.

Petition Campaigns

Since petitions are commonly used for list building, by default your supporters will be able to  sign your campaign only once. If you have set a Recipient on your campaign and you've enabled automatic email updates, they will receive an update ever 100 submissions.  However, if this does not suit your campaign strategy you can modify the submission limit in the Campaign Settings menu.
