Cloning a Campaign (Templates)
While New/Mode does not currently support dedicated campaign templates, you can achieve the same outcome by using the Clone feature. This allows you to quickly replicate campaigns with consistent branding and messaging.
Creating a Base Campaign
To start, build a new campaign or select an existing one. Ensure it includes all desired elements in your branding (logos, colors, styles), as well as any generic integration settings (if applicable).
Messaging and Recipients will vary by campaign so we recommend setting generic placeholders.
Naming your Campaign
Use a unique and descriptive name for your template campaign. Your team should be able to identify the purpose of the campaign. Some examples:
- TEMPLATE – Federal Advocacy – Email Campaign
- [Template] [Call Action] [Website branding]
Cloning the Campaign
From the "Campaigns" tab, click on "Clone" at the bottom of the campaign description.

Once you have clicked Clone, you'll be brought over to the Overview page of your new cloned campaign. Here, you can make the necessary changes that help you set your campaign up for success!

If you have downgraded your plan since your original campaign has been created you may notice some features have been removed from your clone.
Best Practices
- Create Multiple Base Campaigns
Set up different “template” campaigns for various use cases (e.g., email actions, petitions, social campaigns). - Use Naming Conventions
Start template campaigns with a consistent prefix like:TEMPLATE –BASE –
- Keep Templates Clean
Avoid including time-sensitive or campaign-specific details in your base campaigns. - Limit Editing on Templates
Once a base campaign is finalized, avoid modifying it directly. Instead, clone it and make changes on the duplicate.
