Email Sending Domain Information
New/Mode is designed to ensure that advocacy emails are delivered reliably and reach decision makers effectively. Below is an overview of how email delivery works across the platform.
Emails to Decision Makers
When a supporter completes an advocacy action, their message is sent to the intended decision maker using New/Mode’s email infrastructure.
- Emails are sent from a New/Mode domain (civicinput@newmode.io)
- The supporter’s email address is included as the “Reply-To” address
This approach helps improve deliverability and ensures that decision makers can reply directly to supporters, maintaining a clear line of communication.
Thank You Emails to Supporters
After completing an action, supporters receive a confirmation email.
- These emails are sent from the same New/Mode email address (civicinput@newmode.io)
- The message typically includes a copy of the supporter’s submission and any relevant follow-up information
Why This Approach Improves Deliverability
Email providers and government IT systems apply strict filtering to messages that appear to be sent on behalf of others (sometimes referred to as spoofing). By sending emails through a verified New/Mode domain:
- Messages are less likely to be filtered or blocked
- Deliverability rates are improved
- Campaign communications are more likely to reach decision makers as intended
We have our eye on the impact of your campaigns and you can count us to stay ahead of the curve. If you have any questions or concerns with these upgrades please email support@newmode.net
