Email Sending Domain Change

New/Mode is making an important update to how emails are sent from our advocacy action forms. This update aligns us with new industry standards that will improve the deliverability rates of your emails, and better ensures that your campaign communications are not being suppressed by decision makers.

Here’s what we’re changing:

  1. Emails to decision makers were previously sent from the email address provided by your supporters when filling out your advocacy actions. These emails will now be sent from a NewMode.org email domain (civicinput@newmode.org), with your supporters email address as the “Reply-to” address.
  2. All “thank you emails” to your supporters will be sent from a NewMode.org email address.  Customers on the Campaign Builder, Organization, or Network subscription tiers can undergo an email verification process with New/Mode to customize the email address on the thank you emails.

Why are we making this change?

Email sending infrastructure and government IT departments are starting to filter out or suppress email communications that are viewed as masking or spoofing email addresses. New/Mode is uniquely focused on the impact of advocacy actions, so we’re getting ahead of this change. Emails from constituents are still valid regardless of the platform being used to send them, and our method gives constituents and decision makers a direct line of communication with each other.

What do you need to do?

Nothing! This change will be implemented for all new campaigns immediately. Previous campaigns will use the current approach.

We have our eye on the impact of your campaigns and you can count us to stay ahead of the curve. If you have any questions or concerns with these upgrades please email support@newmode.net
